Mounting tape to hold the acrylic sheet?

If a proper seal could be made all around, would it be effective at stopping noise? The problem of not being re-usable is offset by it's low cost.

As long as you can make the air tight seal it should work.

Thank you for your replies Randy, I considered the magnetic option but the cost seems too large especially since I live in Canada and no doubt delivery and customs would almost double the price. If in the future I require a removable solution I would definitely go with it. Thanks again.
