soundproofing cedar fence
« on: January 05, 2001, 10:36:22 PM »
I live along a busy street and recently installed a 60-72" high modified single panel cedar fence to cut down on the noise. It helped just a bit, but now I'd like to panel the inside section of the fence for extra noise reduction. Is there any sort of soundproofing material that I can line or stuff inside the 3-4 inches of framing that'll REALLY do the trick? I don't think the extra panels will really do much. thanks!

A: Increasing the height of the fence will be far more effective, but if you can't do that, use our soundproofing mat on the inside wall facing the sound:
