Soundproofing a Wall Unit AC
« on: April 01, 2002, 12:31:08 AM »
I have a wall unit Air Conditioner (sometimes referred to as a Window unit but in this house they cut a hole in the wall and built it in) in a wall in one room that I want to sound proof better. This is a family room with lots of noise being generated that I want to sheild the neighbors from.
What can I do? There seems to be some gaps in how it was inserted and the unit istels is designed to pass air so it is rather open. Can anything be done? I am open to hearing even temporary solutions like something I can put in plaqce for when I am going to have the stereo or TV loud and that I can take down afterwards.
Thanks
