Question-Fire Hazard?
« on: July 11, 2002, 06:12:45 PM »
I'm looking to "plug" a window, and I talked with some local foam distributors, who told me that all types of rigid foam were pretty combustible. Is this true with flexible foam as well? How do I check products for appropriate fire standards for use in the bedroom? How about this issue with respect to the sound mat?  Thanks!

Bob,
Our foams are FAA approved and have been given a flammibility test and have passed. We have actually had this testing performed through an independent testing labratory who does flammability tests exclusively. This material is very flame retardent and is safe for window plug use. Upon request Flammability tests results will be provided via FAX. Hope this helps Bob
