How do I secure the new drywall?
« on: January 25, 2003, 09:54:09 AM »
I am thinking of putting some MLV on my existing wall. If I decide to put another layer of 5/8" drywall on top of the MLV, how do I secure the new layer of drywall? Do I just nail it through the MLV to the existing wall or do I need some adhersive material?

Steve,
The best way to adhere the new drywall would be with drywall screws. You might need to get longer screws, but screws are much better than nails. I hope this answers your question.
