noisy central vacuum system

I recently bought a new home which has a central vacuum system installed. The main unit is mounted in a corner in the garage on an outside wall. Because it is very loud and noisy I plan to build a sound proofing box around it. This will hopefully kill most of the noise. Because the main unit is mounted to the structure of the house (outside wall) some of the noise (mainly from the running motor) is transmitted through the house structure. How can I best remount the motor unit to reduce this noise most effectively?
