Cat noise in condominium
« on: March 15, 2003, 05:03:47 PM »
I have just bought a new condominium apartment, where I was told by several residents "it's fine to have a cat... everyone here has a cat." The condominium has a 'no pets' rule, but I was told it wouldn't be a problem. When my cat went for a preliminary visit, he was obviously freaked out, and wouldn't stop loud meowing. (Keep in mind I've already bought this place!) My cat is a member of the family and I can't risk losing him. You could hear him in the public hallway through my metal door, but I haven't seen or heard a peep from anyone else's apartments. Please give me any ideas! We're due to move in soon. What's the best kind of sound insulation I can use on my door and possibly the surrounding wall. Thanks, Sal
