Acoustic Caulk in basement
« on: March 22, 2003, 05:33:54 AM »
If I caulk around the base of the wallboard as suggested, I am concerned about moisture.  My basement was recently "waterproofed" and so I expect that there will be less chance of there being water on the floor at all, but it's still a basement!
It would seem that if the acoustic caulk is non-hardening and there is moisture/water that gets to it, it will be a runny watery mess!  And trim covering the bottom of the waalboard isn't enough to keep water out.  What do you think?
Thanks!
