What are suitable ways and materials for soundproofing an open area? Will a tent with the appropriate fabric materials do?, i am mainly interested in isolating the higher frequency range.

any ideas, is it possible?

thanks

Roofy,

You'll  need to be a little more specific on what kind of noise you are trying to isolate, and also the amount of outdoors area you are trying to soundproof. Keep in mind, that soundproofing the outdoors from the outdoors is usually a monumental task.
As far as the tent material, if you were to line the canvas of the tent with a layer of the closed cell foam, it would make the tent much more of a soundproof structure and would likely block out the majority of the high frequency sounds.  I hope this helps you Roofy. Please repost your question with a little more detail.
