I am moving into a warehouse studio, and I am a drummer who is wondering how to build a soundproof room?

The best way to soundproof a room from your neighbors, is to construct a separate room within a room. This method make for an easier and less expensive soundproofing project, as you are soundproofing much less area.
When you construct a RwR, you are also employing the dead air space around the RwR  which helps greatly in your soundproofing effort.
The RwR should be studded and joisted out,(if you are not planning to use the existing ceiling joists). From there you can use any one of the soundproofing methods which best suits your soundproofing needs and won't kill your wallet. Click on the link below and read this little garage soundproofing scenario. I think it will be interesting reading, especially as it relates to your project.
Derik, Thanks for the post.
