I recently bought a condo and have trouble with theparty walls . I need to soundproof them !

Janice,

Nothing like short and to the point!! You are probably looking at a layer of the Mass loaded Vinyl (MLV) as your best and most economical solution. The (MLV) at 1 lb .per square foot  will be stapled or glued (contact cement) to your existing drywall. Then you would caulk the seams and all the way around the perimeter with an acoustical caulk. This is key to obtaining the best results, and finally from there, you layer over the (MLV) with a layer of 5/8" fire code drywall, tape, mud and paint as usual and presto, you are soundproofed from the noisy neighbor.
Janice, don't forget, if you hear your neighbor's noise, they also hears yours. I know that sounds  like a "well duh" but you'd be surprised at how many people do not realize that fact.
