Title: What Insulation
Post by: cosmarchy on January 25, 2011, 09:02:13 PM
Hi

Does anyone know what insulation these people use:

http://www.noisyneighboursolutions.co.uk

They will not supply it without installing it and I just want to source some so I was wondering whether anyone knew what it was and perhaps where I can get some.

Thanks.

It's a proprietary product, but it looks like some kind of panelized rubber or MLV bonded to a cellulose or denim fiber core.  On their website, they say it's patented and by how secretive they are it sounds like you're not going to be able buy the stuff anywhere else...

You'll notice that they were starting with a concrete block building, so the noise reduction probably wasn't spectacular - noise-wise, they were already in good shape before they started.

Thanks very much for your reply.

It does look as if I'll get no where with this one.

Do you know of any insulation, max 50mm, which is any good at keeping sound out?

Thanks
