Title: Impact Noise + Regular Noise
Post by: C. Son on September 17, 2003, 08:38:27 AM
I live on the ground floor of a condominium complex and can hear walking/talking from the tenants above.  Would using the "RC-1" technique be sufficient in eliminating both types of noise?

C. Son,

Sure the RC-1 would help your situation, as would any properly installed floated system, but if you want to get the best soundproofing results possible, I would recommend installing the SSP sound clips and metal furring channels. This system will double the soundproofing over an  RC-1 installation. Thats provide both systems use 5/8" fire code drywall. If you have any further questions, please let me know via this forum, or by telephone. Thanks C.
