Title: sound proofing a standing punching bag
Post by: yalun on April 11, 2006, 12:31:18 PM
I have a water-based standing punching bag (wavemaster)
it shifts a bit every time i strike, but the noise that's created for ppl downstairs (concrete condo) could be a problem.

are the vibration pads a good solution for that?
if the pads are not enough to completely cover the entire base area, is it sufficient to put the 4 pads together in the center of the base?

thanks

Yalun:

Have you considered try to suspend/hang the bag from your ceiling. This would reduce any unwanted sound transfer to neighbors below.

You're right - dumb questions don't deserve to be answered.
