Title: Soundproofing on the outside of a structure
Post by: Jeffrey Blish on April 07, 2001, 03:39:38 PM
Most of what I see here talks about building a structure within an existing building.  Will it work if you build a structure around the outside.  I have a converted garage/guest house I want to soundproof, but don't want to lose any space on the inside.  Will it work to put materials around the outside?

Yes!  You can add mass loaded vinyl under the outside siding.
