Title: 18 foot ceilings YIKES!
Post by: Ronald on April 15, 2001, 01:14:12 AM
Hi,
I live in a large loft with 18 foot high ceilings with one "party wall" that tends to pass a lot of the neighbors stereo/bass.
Would just gluing Wonderboard or another layer of drywall on top of a soundproofing mat onto the existing wall be effective?
Or does there have to be space between to make a difference? Thanks!

You need more than just a space: use resilient channel.  The entire wall must be covered.
