Title: tv noise through metal door frame
Post by: SusanZ on July 26, 2007, 04:22:37 AM
I have a problem with neighbor's tv noise.  ??? Our townhome units have floor to ceiling patio doors with metal frames. There is no apparent insulation between one unit's door frame and the next and that seems to be how the sound travels. There is no problem with other sounds through the walls. I would like to install soundproof foam or foam tape inside the door frame. Is this a good way to soundproof? I don't like the idea of adhesive backing that would be permanent. Can I wedge pieces of foam into the space of the door frame without using adhesive?  What product would be best?
