Title: impact noise from kitchen next door
Post by: brent on August 01, 2009, 11:09:28 AM
I have used six layers of plasterboard (drywall) and greenglue, together with resilient bars.It has helped but not completely successful.
The wall is brick and plaster. I need to do something about the chimney breast, which I have not insulated yet as I think much of the noise is coming from that area. I can hear cupboard doors slamming and items put onto work surfaces.
Is there a danger of a "triple wall " effect if I use resilient bars on the chimney breast?
Has anyone tried "phonewell" which they claim is self isolating?
