Title: Eclipse Curtains and Sound proofing
Post by: JohnD212 on October 07, 2010, 07:21:19 PM
I just moved into a 2nd floor apartment on a busy Avenue in Brooklyn. The apartment is great but the buses and trucks outside aren't. I added some weather sealing around the window / hung as many pictures as I could on the walls (even put thin fabric on the back of pictures) and finally bought the Eclipse curtains that block out daylight but also claim to help reduce noise. Here's my question: Would it help to put two curtains in each window or is the second not going to do anything that the first has done?

Thanks

You might see an additional reduction but the reduction value would not double.
