Title: Party Wall with 2.5" of space to work with
Post by: Chris on September 02, 2001, 05:32:39 AM
Hi,
I just purchased half of an old duplex built in 1900.  The party wall (shared wall) between my neighbor and I is brick with the exception of an add on in the back of the building.  The add on section only has either a single piece of drywall or particle board between us.  This amounts to NO noise absorbtion.
I have a 2.5" space to construct a sound barrier with, does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks

Try this company, they seem to keep things simple and are able to supply stuff cheaply. They also mention that they can source more than showing on the website. So they might have just the thing.

Have a look at the Dense Fibre Slabs and the Maxiboards?
