Title: fences
Post by: Jay Crown on September 30, 2001, 03:18:48 PM
I have neighbours who are installing a pool and we are concerned about the level of noise in our yard.
I am looking for any ideas to reduce noise from the neighbour's yard. We are considering a 6 ft. wooden board and batten fence.
Any Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

I doubt that would be high enough for much effect; 8' would be the minimum. Wood is not a good material and a "batten"?  If you mean with spaces between the boards, it w\ould not work at all as the fence would need to be completely sealed- not even a knifebalde space left in fitting it together.  See the link below for some more info on fences.
