Title: Cumulative Increase In Loudness

I have a question regarding the cumulative effect of more than one noise
or sound source.

Suppose you had two identical power tools operating at the same time.
I know the decibel value is not the total of the two. What I would like to know is what  the apparent increase in loudness would be.

Not enough specifications to give you a rough guess.
Too many variables in play here...

Indoor or outdoor?
distance from each source to receiver
free path or with obstructions
even air temperature plays a role

increases can be as little as 1-3+ dba outdoors up to 10 dba or more indoors if harmonics are involved.

this would simple enough to test yourself, just keep in mind you most likely will not nail this down to a definitive answer. You could set up a series of identical test methods and have slightly different results each time....This is the difference from the real world and the laboratory.
