Title: Soundproofing windows in new construction -- sunroom
Post by: Laurie on April 26, 2012, 03:20:30 AM
We are about to build on a sunroom at the back of our house, and are wondering which soundproofing options would work best for us.  Our house is 1/4 mile from a large warehouse with trucks being loaded/unloaded all night.  Most of the noise isn't troublesome, but the beeping alarm sound made when one of the trucks backs up is piercing.  I've looked at Soundproof Windows and other aftermarket brands, but I wonder -- which is the best option for new construction?  There will be lots of windows and a glass patio door.

Thanks!

we promote milgard quiet line, however what you want is the windows with the highest STC/OITC rating you can afford...make sure your sliders are at equal or better value...
