Title: Soundproofing for living upstairs
Post by: Isles91 on February 15, 2015, 02:10:09 PM
Hello, I just registered in search of a good (and cheap if possible) soundproofing solution for my new apartment.  I'm living above an elderly person who constantly has the TV on full blast, and I was wondering if there are any soundproof mats or anything of that nature that I can lay down and reduce the noise levels in my room.  Also, I will not be able to add insulation to the walls or do any type of remodeling.  Sorry if this post is vague, I'm a newbie to this kind of thing.

you can use our underlayment beneath carpet and padding. it will have to be sealed to the walls and seams tapped but you can remove the system if needed.
You will get a reduction but remember there is no such thing as a 100% soundproof.
