Title: soundproofing a 1500 sq.ft.ceiling
Post by: jennifer on February 03, 2003, 09:20:58 PM
Our loft needs to have the ceiling soundproofed.  We don't want a dropped ceiling, nor do we want to add drywall as the final layer.  (We're concerned about the weight.)Can we use styrofoam?
What would the application be?

Stryofoam will not work for soundproofing, What would you want to use as a final layer? Drywall would be best along with MLV sound barrier, ssp clips and channel.
