Building a door that does not slam
« on: August 25, 2003, 11:21:41 PM »
Thanks for this awesome site.

(I have looked in the FAQ, and the archives, but have not found an answer)

I will be building a doorframe, and putting in an exterior door.
The door itself does not have to be soundproof at all.
However I am *very* concerned about the door slamming.

Is there something I can do that would be better then just using standard thermal sealing gasketing foam strips and a light door?

Im thinking of some sort of decoupled door frame, within a door frame.
Any suggestions?

(I have a previous, similar post that I am trying to delete, if you can, please answer this post, I think this post is a bit clearer)
