Was wondering why you don't at least dry wall the backside of the sound proofing wall.Also wondering if a vaulted ceiling would be better for acoustic properties.And one more thing ,What if you filled the gaps in the studding with 2 or 3 inch rock wool ,besides the obvious expense.
